Review

Spectrum Fish Oil contains omega 3 essential fatty acids Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).  DHA is important for brain function and in particular memory.  EPA is important for heart health, reduces inflammation and keeps cell membranes healthy.  Both of these essential fatty acids are important to all cells in the body and brain and promote healthy skin, hair, joints and muscle.  Spectrum’s Fish Oil comes from small wild-caught plankton-feeding fish that are not on the endangered list.

User Opinions

Consumers suggest taking 3 or 4 capsules a day (a serving is 2 capsules) of this product. This stuff has a thick enough shell that you don’t taste. It’s the same size as the other brands. It’s easier to swallow than a calcium tablet.

A concerned consumer says fish oil can be a blood thinner, so if you’re taking aspirin or another thinner, you might want to ask your doctor or pharmacist about cutting back on it. One might need to stop using it a week or so before any surgeries.

Dosage

Take 2 softgels per day with meals.

Precautions

Refrigerate this product after opening to preserve freshness.  Keep in a dry, cool place away from direct light.
